Treatment of Low-Sensitivity Allergy
2005-2007 CURRENTLY ENROLLING

  • Details: Treat of Low-Sensitivity Allergy
  • Sponsored by: American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy
Study is enrolling patients who have negative prick tests but positive intradermal tests. These are patients who do not have high sensitivity to allergens, but still have significant allergic symptoms. There is no prior scientific study to show how well these patients respond to allergy immunotherapy shots, although most physicians believe that such patients do well and are easy to treat. This is the first multi-center, multi-year study to try to discover the facts.

Allergic volunteers whose symptoms are not adequately controlled by medications or environmental protection steps are needed. Study participants will receive a year of free allergy immunotherapy. General information is posted in the office, and details can be obtained from the Allergy Department Nursing staff.
